URGENT PRAYER REQUEST

Late Thursday night, two of our church members, Charles Parks and his daughter, Sarah Parks were cleaning up the church and decorating the Sunday school room for the monthly Fayetteville Area Churches meeting which was going to be held tomorrow evening.  They left and proceeded toward Lincoln Rd. going toward Huntsville, Sarah failed to yield the right of way around 11 p.m. and ran right into a tractor trailer rig and Sarah was killed instantly and Charles was flown to Vanderbilt via life flight.

They have removed Charles spleen and sternum.  He has many crushed bones throughout body, neck vertebrae damaged

They have moved the percentage risk from 5% chance to live to 15% today.  We need prayer from the entire district for his life.  He does not know that Sarah was killed in the accident, at least we are hoping he does not remember until he gets out of the woords.

Sarah was to be at the prom tonight and graduate on May 21st from Lincoln Central.  She is a 4.0 student.  She was our sunday school teacher for the Pre-school and very dedicated to our church.  I had the honor of baptizing her and I will be assisting in her funeral on Monday at Higgins Funeral Home on Monday at 2 p.m.

Her father and Sarah were new members of Champ last year.  Her mother is a member of Victory Chapel in Park City.  They are divorced.  Rev. Mayo was asked by her mother since she is a member there.

Blessings to all,

Fonda Blair
